Denver’s coroner has identified the 33-year-old man during a fight outside of a Lower Downtown nightspot.
Clarence Thomas died at the scene of the shooting near the intersection of 15th and Market streets.
He died of a gunshot wound in what has been ruled a homicide, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
Denver police spokesman Doug Schepman said a fight broke out among a group of people and a man pulled out a gun and fired shots.
update: A 2nd victim from 15th/Market shooting left the scene, went to hospital and is in critical condition. Investigation ongoing.

A second person — described only as a male — was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Authorities say his prognosis, however, is good.
No arrests have been announced and Denver police said Tuesday afternoon that they didn’t have more information on the case to share.
