President Donald Trump’s upcoming budget will propose a $54 billion increase in defense spending.

Re: Feb. 27 news story.

We’ve got a president who openly admits that he likes winning wars and isn’t afraid of nukes. He also wants to gut domestic programs so he can increase the Pentagon’s budget by 10 percent. Does he honestly think we need more war? And does he honestly think that the reason the U.S.A. has “lost” recent wars is because our airplanes are too old and we don’t have enough ships?

Do we honestly think this is what we want for our country, our children and our grandchildren? Please, people, tell your congressional representatives, assuming they are listening, that this cannot happen.
