Authorities say he had replica-type weapon — similar to an airsoft firearm.
“He may have been intoxicated and possibly had some mental heath issues along with that,” Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis said. “He faces numerous possibly serious charges.”
No one was hurt in the incident, which ended after a roughly hour-long standoff. The name of the man arrested has not been released.

Scott Reed, an RTD spokesman, said the bus was near Oak Street when the situation unfolded that all other passengers were evacuated off the vehicle. Police say the driver called 911 to report a man had a handgun and was attempting to fire it.
“No one is on board except for the gentleman who refuses to leave,” Reed said as the standoff was happening.
The incident began about 12 p.m.
