Interview with Brandi Lebsack, owner

Q: How did you get involved in this business?
:My son Kaden was training in Longmont. We were driving there twice a week. At the age of 10, Kaden took third place at the UNAA (Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association) and decided we needed something closer. We also felt that so many kids could benefit from this type of gym. So we got with our head coach, John Maul, and decided to open a gym in Castle Rock.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?
:We are one of only a few obstacle training gyms in the nation. Our obstacles are based on the very popular TV show “American Ninja Warrior.” We are currently the only indoor obstacle-based training gym in Colorado. From the Warped Wall to the Salmon Ladder, we offer obstacles for all ages and abilities. We have Pee-Wee Ninjas.

ages 4 to 5, all the way up to Adult Ninja classes.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?
:The best part about this business is getting to see the smiles on all the kids’ faces. They get so excited when they walk into the gym, and most of the time never want to leave.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?
:For us, it’s getting adults to get up the courage to come try it. We offer a Ninja Cardio Workout for adults and it is the one class we currently do not have full.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:
A: All of our coaches have tried out, or been on the TV show “American Ninja Warrior.”
