At 2 p.m.,No. 1 Eaglecrest (21-4) and No. 9 Denver East (18-7) meet in the Larry Farmer region, with two legendary coaches facing off in John Olander and Rudy Carey. Senior point guard Colbey Ross stars for the Raptors, while theAngels are paced by junior point guard Daylen Kountz.
At 5 p.m., No. 3 George Washington (23-2) and No. 11 Fort Collins (22-3) meet in the Guy Gibbs region, with the Patriots chasing their first title since the Chauncey Billups era and the Lambkins in their first Great 8 since 1988. Junior guard Jon’il Fugett is the X-factor for George Washington, while Fort Collins is led by senior guardJacob Pfaffinger.
At 6:30 p.m., No. 2 ThunderRidge (23-2) vs. No. 7 Chatfield (24-1) meet in the Chauncey Billups region, with both teams looking title-worthy through two tournament games. The Grizzlies are defined by the scoring of Corey Seng and Kaison Hammonds, while the Chargers have five players averaging double figures.
