A 3-month-old boy who was in a pickup stolen Tuesday afternoon in Brighton was found safe and unharmed in Denver, police said.

The truck, a 2001 Ford F-150, was stolen at about 3:35 p.m. from a business in the 1500 block of Bridge Street, said John Bradley, Brighton police spokesman.

The child was found still in his car seat in a northwest Denver alley.

Brighton police said the stolen truck had a license plate 870 PQY. A Ford truck with the same license plate was found in Lakewood on Tuesday night and towed away under police supervision. The truck thief remains at large.
