Former Rutgers football player Eric LeGrand will be the recipient of the third annual Warrior Award presented by World Wrestling Entertainment, .

Named after the late WWE Hall of Famer the Ultimate Warrior, The Warrior Award celebrates individuals who show strength, perseverance and courage. LeGrand was a standout player for the Rutgers football team before he suffered a spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed in 2010.

Since the injury, LeGrand has gone on to become a sports analyst for the Rutgers Football Radio Network, a motivational speaker and the founder of his own charity, Team LeGrand of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

LeGrand will receive the award at the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony March 31.
