Quite a knock. On Feb. 25, a food truck owner called Denver police after a potential customer broke the window to his food truck while in the 3200 block of East 40th Avenue. The suspect approached the truck to order food and knocked on the window “very hard,” breaking the window. The truck owner was inside and witnessed the incident. The suspect was cited.

Victim kicked in backside. A man was charged with assault Feb. 24 after he kicked another man in the buttocks/groin area while in a quiet room at Denver CARES, 1155 Cherokee St. The suspect was uncooperative with staff before being placed in the quiet room and assaulted the victim without provocation. The victim insisted on pressing charges.

Worker assaults worker. On Feb. 22, a man called police after he was punched in the face while at Guy’s Floor Service, 10275 E. 47th Ave. The victim stated that he was approached by the suspect, who confronted him about a job they may have been on together. The suspect admitted to punching the victim.

Son doesn’t arrive. A woman was cited and removed from Pete’s Greek Town, 2910 E. Colfax Ave., after failing to pay for a meal. The woman ate $14 worth of food and stayed at the restaurant for three hours, stating that her son would come to pay for the food. The son never arrived.

Shots fired. On Feb. 22, officers responded to Extra Space Storage, 14750 E. 40th Ave., on a report of shots fired in the direction of a victim. The victim said the shots came from a nearby house and he was able to identify the occupant as the shooter. The suspect was arrested.
