Re: “” March 4 Vincent Carroll opinion column.
Vincent Carroll’s latest pedantic diatribe comes at the expense of Frances Koncilja, a Colorado Public Utilities Commission member appointed by our governor last year.
Carroll states Koncilja is like “a bull in a china shop,” “radiating personal hostility” towards Black Hills Energy. Koncilja and two another commissioner had the audacity to vote against Black Hills’ request for a rate hike to the tune of $8.5 million, to be shouldered by the people of southern Colorado.
Carroll’s column does exactly what he accuses her of doing, namely, using his position to caricature Koncilja as an evil dictator. In fact, Mr. Carroll, she is doing her job.
I suggest Carroll mind his own business (like the worrisome, skyrocketing prices of homes in the Denver area) and let people with real jobs do theirs.
