Sleeping through the noise. Police responded March 7 to the 10900 block of Melody Drive, Northglenn because a woman said her neighbor’s dog had been barking nonstop for hours. Officers saw a man inside the house, asleep on the couch while music blared next to his head. He wouldn’t wake to open the door.
Movie buff. A man shopping at Carniceria Dos Reales, 8411 Pecos St., Federal Heights, selected three DVDs and brought them to the counter Feb. 11. When the clerk moved to check him out, he grabbed the movies and ran out the door.
Stiffed the cabbie. Police arrested a woman with felony warrants March 5 who lied about her identity after she was apprehended for refusing to pay a cab fare. The suspect took a cab to her boyfriend’s house in the 6200 block of Ivy Way, Commerce City, and never came out to pay the driver, so he called police.
Dangerous grieving. A man upset over a recent death in his family got behind the wheel of a gold Lexus and drove more than 100 mph March 4 down Colorado 85 near 120th Avenue, Commerce City. The suspect eventually hit a blue truck and kept driving. Several witnesses nabbed his license plate and he was arrested nearby.
Broken window. Someone smashed out the passenger window of a car that was parked overnight March 7 in the 10500 block of Washington Way, Northglenn. There are no suspects.
Punctured windows. A police officer started investigating a row of cars apparently damaged by a BB gun Feb. 28 in the 2800 block of West 96th Avenue, Federal Heights. There are no suspects.
