Suspicious man at bus stop. A woman reported March 10 seeing an unknown male in a gray hatchback vehicle talking to children after they got off the bus near the 20000 block of Kiowa Road, Indian Hills. The woman said she could see the bus stop from her deck and yelled at the kids to get away when she saw the man call them to his vehicle. The vehicle then drove away.

Gas and go. An employee of Sinclair gas station, 27885 Meadow Drive, Evergreen, reported March 5 that the driver of a station wagon with temporary tags drove away without paying for gas. The customer hit the “Pay inside” button, which limits the amount of gas that can be taken, then left. The vehicle was last seen driving east on Colorado 74.

The ones that got away. A woman reported being harassed March 8 by three people at Blue Heron Lake in the 5000 block of South Quail Street, Littleton. She said she was walking her dogs by the two males and one female, who were sitting on the shoreline, and asked if they had caught any fish, but they ignored her. Later, as the reporting party was fishing, the three people threw rocks across the lake at her, then drove over to her and shouted racial slurs. They were gone by the time police arrived.

Helicopter citizenry. A woman reported March 6 that there was a young child alone and crying in a car in the parking lot outside an optometrist in the 9800 block of West Belleview Avenue, Littleton. Police contacted the owner of the vehicle, who said he left his 1-year-old in the car for about 5 minutes while inside the business. Police found no crime occurred.
