Someone in Commerce City has an unwanted admirer

Unwanted admirer. Someone has been taping peculiar notes to a woman’s backyard fence in the 6400 block of East 63rd Avenue, Commerce City. On March 5, she showed police the notes, which said things like, “You look tasty,” and “Can I try you out.” She suspected her neighbor, but he denied it. There are no suspects.

Stolen puppy. A Labrador/Dalmatian mix puppy was stolen from a family’s backyard in the 7100 block of Locust Street, Commerce City. The owner of the puppy said she let him out to go to the bathroom March 7, and then heard a yelp. She went outside, but the puppy was gone.

Laundry machine burglar. A woman who lives in the 10100 block of Washington Street, Thornton, saw a stranger using a drill on a coin-operated laundry machine in the communal laundry room Feb. 12. She called police, and he was arrested for trying to steal quarters.

Busted window. On Feb. 9, someone smashed out the rear window of a man’s truck while it was parked in front of his home in the 5200 block of East 130th Way, Thornton. There are no suspects.

Runaway dog. Police were called to the corner of West 85th Avenue and Jason Street, Federal Heights, because a stray Boxer dog followed a woman and her kids home from school Feb. 7. Police found the dog’s owner, who complained that the dog was creative at getting out of the house. He was ticketed.

BB shootout. Several residents who live in the 2500 block of West 96th Avenue, Federal Heights, reported that someone used a BB gun overnight to damage windows on their cars Feb. 8. There are no suspects.
