
The Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has concluded that the remains found in a dumpster in Okmulgee, Okla., were those of Ashley Mead, confirming investigators’ suspicions that the missing .
Mead, 25, went missing in February along with her 1-year-old daughter. A few days later, was found in a suitcase, about 40 miles from where Mead’s ex-boyfriend Adam Densmore was located with their daughter.
While officials said there were indications the torso belonged to Mead, the remains were not officially identified until Monday, according to a news release. Police believe Mead was killed in Boulder and then dismembered in Louisiana, but the multi-state search for the rest of Mead’s remains has so far come up empty.
