Denver authorities have identified the 25-year-old man in the Curtis Park neighborhood.

Jamarcust Mister was pronounced dead at the scene. The medical examiner’s office says he died of gunshot wounds in what has been ruled a homicide.

The shooting happened about 2:30 p.m. Monday on the 2800 block of Arapahoe Street, just east of a popular stretch of Larimer Street lined with trendy bars and restaurants.

Police say the shooting is being investigated as a homicide but haven’t released further details, including what prompted the killing.

A police spokesman on Wednesday afternoon didn’t have more information on the case. No arrests have been announced.

An investigation into the case remains ongoing.
