FORT COLLINS — Forward Braden Koelliker has been granted his release from the Colorado State basketball team, allowing him to transfer after one season with the Rams, the team announced Thursday.

Koelliker will have two more years of eligibility remaining.

Koelliker made five starts and played in all 36 games for CSU this past season, averaging 4.2 points and 4.1 rebounds. The transfer from Snow College enjoyed a breakout performance in his first game with the Rams, scoring a season-high 21 points to go with nine rebounds in a win over New Mexico State in the season opener.

That turned out to be his only game in double figures all season as he became more of a role player off the bench. After some inconsistency through the non-conference season and into Mountain West play, the 6-foot-8 native of Kaysville, Utah, played well during the final stretch of the season, scoring at least seven points in three of CSU’s final six games.
