The second installment of DiNK Comic & Art Expo, which was started by Denver Comic Con co-founder Charlie LaGreca, returns with a new venue — the McNichols Building — and more than 200 artists, workshops, Q&As and after-hours programming.
Hipper and more underground than its better-known antecedent, DiNK focuses on urban art, zines and small-press publishers, including this year’s guests of honor the Hernandez Brothers (Love & Rockets), Tony Millionaire, Sarah Glidden, Denis Kitchen, Aidan Koch, expatriate Noah Van Sciver and others.
Events take place April 8-9, 144 W. Colfax Ave. $13-$55, kids free. Visit for the full lineup and more details.
*Full disclosure: I’m a guest on a podcast recording there: R. Alan Brooks’ “Comics in Journalism” at 1:30 p.m. on April 9.
