A teenager convicted in a Golden home invasion, in which the wrong house was raided and a resident stabbed, was sentenced Friday to six years in the state’s Youthful Offender System.

Tyler Gorringe, 18, is one of in the May 16, 2016 home invasion and attack in Golden.
Gorringe, who was 17 at the time of the crime, was also given a suspended 24-year Colorado Department of Corrections prison sentence pending the successful completion of the youth service term, according to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office.
Caleb Williams, 21, was sentenced on March 10 to 42 years in prison in the case. Cody Jones, 20, was sentenced in February to 45 years in prison. Julia Johnson, 19, the driver of the getaway car, was sentenced, also in March, to six-years probation and 600 hours of community service.
A middle school teacher was stabbed and severely injured in the incident. His wife, also a school teacher, and their two small children were home when the incident occurred. They were not harmed.
The four convicted in the case thought they were invading the home of a drug dealer they intended to rob, but they went to the wrong home.
