Mile High Stadium is adding Wi-Fi for all fans — not just Verizon users

New system will begin rolling out during the summer concert season and be in full force by home preseason game against the Packers

Posting an Instagram from Mile High Stadium is about to get a whole lot easier for lots of fans.

Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium is rolling out new Wi-Fi that will be open to all fans — not just Verizon Wireless customers, as is the case now — that should be fully operational by the time the Denver Broncos play their first home game against Green Bay during week three of the preseason. ()

The total Wi-Fi project will cost around $6 million dollars, Broncos director of facilities Zach Myhra said Wednesday during the regular Metropolitan Football Stadium District board of directors meeting. Verizon has signed on to cover half of the costs. The Broncos will pick up $2.175 million of the gab.

Myhra said the stadium will incrementally implement the new Wi-Fi during the , which starts with and winds up with .
