A 23-year-old man has been identified as the homicide victim whose body was found Saturday in eastern El Paso County.

Lawrence D. Gloster II was discovered on the 21800 block of East U.S. 24. That’s in the Peyton area, roughly 10 miles east of Colorado Springs.

Investigators say they were called to the scene at about 5 p.m. Saturday on reports that a body was found. Gloster was dead when officers arrived.

Few details in the case have been released and investigators have not said how Gloster died. his body was in an abandoned building along a barren stretch of U.S. 24.

“This is still an ongoing investigation and we are urging the community to be vigilant,” the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
