Firefighters contained 90 percent of the Turkey Track 7 fire in southern Douglas County聽Friday as the area remains closed聽over the weekend.

The 40-acre fire was roughly nine miles north of Woodland Park on the perimeter of the 2002 Hayman Fire, according to the U.S. Forest Service. It is being fueled by grass and dead trees.

Smoke from the fire will likely be visible throughout the weekend. A public target shooting range has been closed.
