A brush fire in Pueblo on Monday afternoon revealed human remains, police said.
The Pueblo Fire Department was called about 1:35 p.m. to the 800 block of Gruma Road near Fountain Creek on a brush fire.
As firefighters extinguished the blaze, which was near a train bridge over Fountain Creek and east of Gruma Road, the remains of the body were spotted, said police, who were called to the scene. They believe the skeletal remains to be that of a man.
It’s not clear how long the remains have been in the area. An investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 719-542-7867 (STOP).
