Here’s where you can mail your tax returns at the last minute in Colorado on Tuesday

There are plenty of places to drop off returns that have proper postage affixed, but only one full-service office open late Tuesday

The federal government gave you a few extra days to file your 2016 tax returns, but time is running out on getting them into the mail.

Just one full-service Post Office will be open late Tuesday, the Denver General Mail Facility office at 7550 E. 53rd Place, until 10 p.m.

Returns with proper postage affixed can be dropped off at blue collection boxes at:

  • The Longmont Main Post Office, 201 Coffman St., until midnight
  • The Loveland Main Post Office, 446 E. 29th St., until midnight
  • The Grand Junction Post Office, 602 Burkey St., until 11 p.m.
  • The Boulder Valmont Station, 2995 55th St., until 7 p.m.

Collection boxes at some metro Denver postal stations will be available to drop off properly stamped envelopes until 6:30 p.m.:

  • Bear Valley Station, 7555 W. Amherst Drive
  • Capitol Hill Station, 1571 Marion St.
  • Downtown Station, 951 20th St.
  • Glendale Station, 945 Birch St.
  • Lakewood Station, 10799 W. Alameda Ave.
  • Mile High Station, 450 W. 14th St.
  • Montclair Station, 8725 E. 11th Ave.
  • Northglenn Station, 11887 Washington St.
  • South Denver Station, 225 S. Broadway Blvd.
  • Sullivan Station, 8700 E. Jefferson Way
  • University Park Station, 3800 Buchtel Blvd.

Drop off boxes will be available until 5:30 p.m. at the North Pecos Station, 1411 Cortez St.
