An inmate who escaped聽a Division of Youth Corrections van while in transit last week, is back in custody on Sunday, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.

in the area of C-470 and Quebec Street, according to the Douglas County Sheriff鈥檚 Office. He was in transit at the time of his escape.

“We are happy to report that Mr. Beckstead is in custody,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post early Sunday.

Beckstead was in custody on charges that were adjudicated when he was a minor. The charges were not released by the sheriff鈥檚 office.
