Dumpster fire. Someone melted a Porta-Potty by lighting toilet paper on fire and letting the flames climb up the plastic walls April 7. Firefighters extinguished the blaze near the playground at Veterans Park, 6015 Forest Drive, Commerce City. There are no suspects.

Discarded felonies. A maintenance worker for an apartment complex in the 11800 block of Washington Street, Northglenn called police April 7 after he found a box full of supplies to make counterfeit money, hundreds of fake dollar bills and baggies full of heroine residue. Everything was confiscated.

Missing suspect. Police were called to Pioneer Park, 5902 Holly St., Commerce City, because a man said the daughter of his former landlord approached him there April 7 and started threatening him. The suspect’s daughter said she was in another state when officers tried to contact her.

Stolen pure breed. A woman told police that someone driving a black Jeep pulled up to her home in the 200 block of East 109th Place, Northglenn, and stole her son’s $4,000 dog from the backyard April 6.

Four loose dogs attack. Two German shepherds, a golden retriever and a Shiba inu ran out the front door of their owner’s home April 8 in the 13300 block of Cherry Drive, Thornton, and darted straight for a small dog that was being walked on a leash nearby. The pack killed the smaller dog. Their owners were charged with 10 counts of various crimes.

Auto scars. A man reported April 7 that someone keyed a three-inch scratch on his truck while it was parked overnight in the 12200 block of Washington Street, Thornton. There are no suspects.
