Boulder EcoDharma Sangha, a Boulder-based environmentally-focused Buddhist group, announced Wednesday it will hold two demonstrations to protest the end of Boulder County’s moratorium on oil and gas development.
The group also will protest against hydraulic fracturing, also known as “fracking.” The moratorium that expires on Monday prevented oil and gas companies from submitting new applications for drilling for oil and gas in unincorporated areas of Boulder County.
Boulder EcoDharma Sangha will gather from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday at Chautauqua Park and again from noon to 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Boulder County Courthouse, 1325 Pearl St.
