They body of an unidentified teen or young woman was found earlier this month in Clear Creek County and investigators have released a composite sketch of what she looked like in an effort to discover how she died.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation says “while investigators are not releasing the cause of death, the female may have been the victim of a homicide.”
The body was found on April 8 in an area near Colorado 103 by a passing motorist. The secluded highway runs between Evergreen and Idaho Springs and is also called Squaw Pass Road in some sections.
CBI says the female was biracial and between 15 and 25 years old. She was wearing a black T-shirt with images of Marilyn Monroe, guns and marijuana leaves on the front. She has black hair and was wearing a black weave. Both of her ear lobes were double-pierced.
“Law enforcement officials have searched local, state and national databases,” CBI said in a news release Thursday, “however, there has been no positive identification of the female to date.”
CBI is working with the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office on the case. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is also providing assistance.
Anyone with information on the death is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 303-670-7567 or CBI at 303-239-4219.
