A man died Sunday after a rafting accident on the Arkansas River west of Cañon City.
Fremont County Sheriff deputies said they went to the river, near the Sunshine Rapid, after receiving a call at 12:30 p.m. The deputies found three people out of the water along the river. One was a man who was not breathing.
Paramedics tried unsuccessfully to revive the man and he was pronounced dead, deputies said. No names or other details were given.
