Peri Erickson, 3, underwent a liver transplant in which her mother was the living donor. Peri and her mother, Claire Erickson, were at Children's Hospital for a follow-up exam April 24, 2017 in Aurora.

Thanks for the article on live-donor transplants, once again pointing out the need for such donors. The current wait for kidney transplants in the Rocky Mountain region is five to seven years. More live donors are needed and the public needs the constant information and reminders to think about this issue. Being a live donor is giving the best gift you could ever give anyone. Your are saving a life. On June 5, I will receive a kidney from a live donor, and every day I am grateful. My gift is from my daughter-in-law. Please continue to keep this issue in the public eye.
