Authorities have identified the 11-year-old boy in southeast Denver.

Damian Solis was wearing dark clothing and was roughly 250 feet outside the crosswalk  struck, according to the Colorado State Patrol. He was on a raised median and crossed between stopped vehicles before he was hit by an eastbound 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe.

“He was wearing dark clothing and the area is unlit,” said Trooper Nate Reid, a State Patrol spokesman.

Reid said no charges will be filed against the SUV’s driver, who stayed at the scene.
