Mesa County man found in canal drowned, coroner says

Delbert Gray, 46, had a blood alcohol level of .320 percent

The coroner’s office said a 46-year-old Grand Junction man found in a canal Tuesday died from accidental drowning.

Delbert Gray was found in a canal near 31 Road and E 1/2 Road near Longs Park on Tuesday. Gray had a blood-alcohol content of .32 percent, said Victor Yahn, chief deputy coroner.

The legal limit for drivers is .08 percent.
