An 18-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder of a child by a person in a position of trust, authorities say.

Isaiah Marquez, according to a news release by Sue Lindsay, spokeswoman for Adams County Attorney Dave Young.
Marquez allegedly killed 3-month-old Leo Garcia on May 1, the news release says. The infant’s body was found in a Thornton home at 9198 Gale Blvd., the release says.
Police previously said Marquez is the boyfriend of the child’s biological mother, and is not the father of the victim.
