Re: May 5 Vincent Carroll column; and May 5 Pranav Jandhyala column.

Two articles in The Denver Post considered the Berkeley campus free-speech uproar. I believe Ann Coulter should have been received peacefully as a speaker at the University of California. But as folks blame “academic intolerance” (Vincent Carroll), which isn’t rampant, or university “liberals” and sensitive “liberal” students in particular, let me remind readers that Coulter herself is an ultra-right-wing, authoritarian, intolerant, society-dividing, virulent protester, a fear- and hate-mongering, “you are victims” demagogue whose profitable books trash this group as harming other Americans or that group as “socialist takers” from the truly deserving. She despises society itself.

So liberal protesters protest the appearance of an extremist right-wing protester?  Ironic.  Itap sad that the speech was canceled, but there’s the U.S.A. today.  And, with extremist wealthy authoritarians swarming into Washington, D.C., positions recently, perhaps we need more protests against their drive to destroy representative democracy.
