Neighbors of Lakewood’s Hyperspace Arcade got quite the surprise last night as they looked upon the and the massive crowd it drew donning their Morty Halloween costumes and silver, spiky Rick wigs. What was going on and how did an Adult Swim show pull such a crowd?

The mobile cartoon pulled in around 6 p.m. June 5 to a sea of “Rick and Morty” fans donning—their nerdy best. The first 300 people in line received special wrist bands to buy exclusive merchandise from the pop-up shop. As for everyone else (close to another thousand fans), they wrapped around the neighborhood in three lines hoping to get—their own little piece of the show that premiered in December of 2013.
