On board with the paddleboarding trend? You’re in luck. You don’t have to go far from just about anywhere in metro Denver to find water where you can rent a stand up paddleboard.

Pro tip: Itap worth reserving your board in advance, especially on weekends when they tend to quickly get snapped up. And remember to use sunscreen.

On average, expect to pay $20 an hour (or $30 for two hours) to rent a paddleboard. Many outfitters offer lessons and classes.

Chatfield Reservoir

You can paddleboard on the reservoir or the nearby gravel pond.

Cherry Creek Reservoir

Boulder Reservoir

Admission: Entry fee is $4 for ages 3 to 18; $7 for ages 19 to 59; and $5 for ages 60 and older.
