A wildfire in northeastern Adams County burned 500 acres Tuesday afternoon.

The fire is 100 percent contained, said Senior Deputy Amanda Overton, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman.

The fire, started by a lightning strike, burned in an area off of East 152nd Avenue and County Roads 88 and 99, Overton said.

No structures were burned or damaged. There were no injuries.
