An Anadarko Petroleum-operated oil tank near the company’s Erie Commons well site leaked on Tuesday, Erie officials announced.
According to Anadarko, an oil tank at the site — just south of Maxwell Avenue near several suburban neighborhoods and the Erie Community Center — developed a leak and allowed “oil to release from the tank within a containment area,” Erie officials wrote in an email blast.
