25-year-old Michael Vassil was sentenced Monday for second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in the September 2015 death of 34-year-old Tera Lewandowski of Pierce.

Prosecutors say Vassil was a member of a biker gang from Pierce and was among a group that killed Lewandowski because she disrespected the gang. Her body, wrapped in carpet, was found in Laramie County, Wyoming, six months after her death.

A former Pierce town board member, Daniel Meyer, was sentenced to life in prison for first-degree murder. Vassil’s father, Thomas, faces trial in October for his role in the murder plot. Four others have been sentenced.
