Firefighters extinguished a blaze that damaged a Commerce City home late Tuesday night just as Independence Day fireworks were going off across the metro area.

The fire broke out in the garage of a home on the 10000 block of Southlawn Circle. It’s unclear whether the fire was sparked by fireworks.

No one was injured in the fire that spread from the garage to the house, according to tweets by South Adams County Fire Department.

Brighton firefighters also responded to the blaze.

Firefighters are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
