An investigation into a death at the Adams County Jail is ongoing, according to the sheriff’s office.
The body of an inmate was found at about 4:20 p.m. Thursday in his assigned cell, the sheriff’s office announced Friday night in a news release.
“The death is under investigation and an autopsy is pending,” the two-paragraph release said.
The inmate was not identified. The sheriff’s office said “no further information will be released at this time.”
