Health officials say a combination of hot temperatures, clear skies and light to moderate winds make increased ground-level ozone more likely in the area. Smoke from is exacerbating air quality issues along the Front Range.
Ground-level ozone can cause respiratory problems, reduce lung capacity and trigger asthma attacks. Individuals sensitive to air quality should stay indoors and reduce physical activity.
