A trailer being pulled by an RV caught on fire while heading westbound on Interstate 70, forcing closures in both directions on the highway near El Rancho.

There have been no injuries or crashes, Colorado State Trooper Josh Lewis said . He did not know what caused the fire.

Westbound lanes have been closed at mile marker 250. Smoke has been traveling into the eastbound lanes, which are closed at mile marker 247, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

CSP is working to extinguish the fire and remove the RV and trailer from the road. But for now, delays are expected.
