A teenager with cognitive disabilities reported missing in Douglas County was found late Monday night and is safe, authorities said.

Devan Romero, 16, has special needs and took the family car.Devan Romero, 16, was last seen at about 11 a.m. in the area of Marmot Ridge Circle near Roxborough State Park, according to Douglas County sheriff’s office.
The teen, who doesn’t have a driver’s license or formal driving training, took the family SUV, the sheriff’s office said.
The SUV was later found at West Coal Mine Avenue and South Pierce Street in Jefferson County. Devan was not with the vehicle.
