Arapahoe County Crime Blotter: Man, possibly on drugs, screams, ‘I’m not Donald J. Trump’

Delirious man arrested. On June 17, police responded to reports of an aggressive man in the parking lot of Rubio’s Coastal Grill, 111 W. Mineral Ave., Littleton. He was sweating and showing signs of “drug-induced delirium,” police reports say. After being handcuffed, the man began struggling and screaming, “I will not be tortured,” “I’m not Donald J. Trump,” and other things. He was sedated and taken to a hospital where he was cited for obstructing an officer. It is unclear what drugs, if any, he may have taken.

Marital acrimony. A man was arrested June 20 for assaulting his wife at Merle’s restaurant, 2609 W. Main St., Littleton. According to police, the couple began arguing at dinner. The woman got up to leave, but her husband grabbed her purse refused to let her leave. 911 was called and he was arrested.

Cycle snatched. A woman’s high-end bicycle was stolen from her garage in the 7300 block of S. Platte River Parkway, Littleton, June 30. According to a police report, the victim believes the bike was taken while movers were bringing furniture into her home, and garage door was open. The bike is valued at $3,200.

Hotel mess. A man was arrested at the Courtyard Marriot, 3056 W. County Line Road, Littleton, June 26 after police say he assaulted his wife while she was passed out. A clerk at the hotel called police after a drunken, male guest asked for help finding his wife. When they located her, she was passed out in her own vomit in a stairwell. The man then began slapping her and ripped her clothes, according to a police report. Police arrived, arrested him, and called an ambulance for her.
