Unfinished chores. Witnesses at Gibby’s Sports Bar, 1555 S. Havana St. said a woman stormed up to a man at the bar July 8 and started screaming at him for being there instead of at home fixing the car. The couple argued outside, and the man got into the couple’s car to drive away. He grabbed his wife’s phone off the car seat and threw it out of the moving car, breaking it. Police issued a warrant for him.
Emergency bathroom break. The owner of Tyson Tobacco, 16631 E. Smoky Hill Road was sitting in his office watching security cameras when he saw a man break in the back door by ripping out a screen June 12. The suspect ducked into the bathroom for a while and then fled the store after he was finished.
Car rummaging. Police were called to the 18300 block of East Grand Avenue Because three people reported seeing a pair of men going through their unlocked cars outside their apartments June 29. Nothing was taken from any of the cars.
Shattered window. A patrolling officer was flagged down by a woman in the Walmart parking lot, 14000 Exposition Ave. July 8 because she said someone broke her back passenger window while she was shopping. Security cameras didn’t catch the incident.
Slipped through the fingers. A woman in the 1900 block of South Kenton Street said she dropped her credit card in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven June 18. When she went to cancel the card, she found out that someone already charged $400 at Walmart. There are no suspects.
