The Steamboat Springs Police Department is hoping the public can help identify a man and woman who were captured on video last month stealing two expensive bicycles in broad daylight from a local bike shop.

The bikes, a neon green men’s Specialized Enduro FSR Comp 29er and a women’s Specialized Camber FSR Comp 650b, have a combined value of $5,700.

The unknown man and woman took the bikes from Ski Haus while it was open June 17.

“It appears they were working together,” Police Commander Annette Dopplick said of the man and woman.

The theft occurred about 2:15 p.m. during a mountain bike dirt demo event at the store.
