Re: July 25 news story.

As an Eagle Scout, I am offended at this presidentap comments at the National Jamboree. I recall how exciting it was to attend a jamboree, and the opportunity to experience the president of the United States attending the event should have been the highlight. Once again Donald Trump puts himself first. It should have been a speech to inspire future leaders and not a political campaign stop. It is apparent that this president is not familiar with the Boy Scouts Oath forever ingrained in my memory: “On my honor I will do my best, to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the scout law. To help other people at all times, to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.” His behavior falls woefully short. How sad, very, very sad.

I think all the Boy Scouts who heard Donald Trump’s self-pitying tirade should automatically earn a merit badge in petty vindictiveness.
