Confrontation with an archer. Police were dispatched to the 30000 block of Isenberg Lane, Evergreen, because of a suspicious incident. A man drove a four wheeler on Isenberg Lane to look at a residence he was planning on purchasing. He encountered a woman holding a bow and a quiver of arrows. She confronted him and said, “I better never see you on this road again.” The man drove away and called the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office, who contacted the woman. She said she was practicing archery when the man drove up. Then, she became belligerent and accused police of “harassing” her. She told the police to “Come back with a warrant,” and continued to yell as police drove away.

Dog food fiend. Police responded to a report of theft at King Soopers, 1000 BLK Bergen Parkway, Evergreen, July 17 after a man left the store without paying for a bag of dog food. The man told police he went grocery shopping but forgot to purchase the dog food. He went back in, placed the dog food in his cart, bought a lottery ticket and went into the bathroom. When he came out of the bathroom, his phone rang, and he went outside with his merchandise. The man was cited and given a summons for theft.

Wallet gone missing. A woman reported a lost wallet at Everbean By The Lake in the 29000 block of Upper Bear Creek Road, Evergreen. She told police she placed her Eddie Bauer handbag, which held her wallet, in a shopping bag. When she looked in the shopping bag later on, it was gone. Along with the wallet and bag, she lost a Costco Citicorp Visa, an American Express, a Colorado Driver’s License, an unspecified amount of cash and museum membership cards.

Tandem bike targeted. A man and woman were riding a tandem bicycle near the 21000 block of Golden Gate Canyon Road, Golden, July 16 when a white van drove past. The woman heard a popping noise and felt a pain in her back, which she suspected was caused by a BB gun. The man and woman called police, who searched for the white van. Officers found the van in a parking lot and noticed two pellets sitting on the driver’s seat. A box of pellets was in plain view on the floor. When asked about the pellet gun incident, the owner of the car explained that it was a “dumb mistake.” Police issued a summons for third degree assault, reckless endangerment and throwing missiles at vehicles – harassment of bicycles.
