Rain in the morning, noon and evening is in Monday’s forecast for the Denver metro area and along the Front Range, meteorologists say.

It will be so cloudy and rainy that temperatures won’t even breach the 70 degree level, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. A high of 68 is expected in downtown Denver.

There is a 30 percent chance for rain and thunder in the morning and a 70 percent chance of stormy weather both in the afternoon and evening, forecasters predict.

The low temperature will be around 55 degrees Monday night. Thunderstorms are expected after 11 p.m. and again early Tuesday morning.

Although the chance for precipitation will diminish on Tuesday, sporadic rain and thunderstorms are possible all day, the weather service says. The high temperature will be around 72 degrees.

By Wednesday, there is a 20 percent chance for afternoon and evening rain and thunderstorms. The high temperature is expected to reach 76 degrees.

Under partly sunny skies on Thursday, the high could climb to 80 degrees, according to forecasters, but there will still be a chance for afternoon and evening rain and thunder.

There will be a slight chance for rain and thunderstorms Friday through Sunday. The high temperatures will hover around 80 degrees during that period, the weather service says.
