Firefighters rescued two men Monday morning after a wall of concrete and bricks toppled on top of them at an older Denver home, authorities say.

Denver firefighters dug the men out of the rubble, said Capt. Greg Pixley, Denver fire spokesman.

The two victims were taken to Denver Health Medical Center with serious injuries, Pixley said.

Firefighters were evaluating a third man who was at the scene when the wall collapsed at 3137 W. Denver Place.

The three construction workers were below the level of the basement when a basement wall collapsed on top of them.
