When in Thornton, people were really, really excited. It was the kind of excitement that only pizza can inspire. Fans waited in long lines to get the thick-crust pizza they missed. It had been nearly two decades since the last Godfather’s in the Denver area closed.
Now, the revival of the popular pizza franchise is set for a sequel: Thornton franchise owner Jake Smith confirmed that a new Godfather’s Pizza will open on Iliff Ave. in Denver.
The team is shooting for a mid-September opening and hopes to open even more stores after that, rebuilding the long-dormant Godfather dynasty. That always works out well; just ask Michael Corleone.
